I was doing my morning ritual of facial exercises since I remembered a few of my friends advise me that this kind of activity can help in reducing the signs of aging. I guess you all know, we all know that the most visible sign of aging is wrinkles. Sagging skin is nothing pretty, at all. So we know that wrinkles is the most visible sign of aging, do we know the root of this very common problem? Well, I personally think it’s good to know HOW to prevent these inevitable aging signs but I also think it’s best to know WHY and WHAT are the causes of wrinkles on face? You better get yourselves interested; as wise men would say, to cut the tree you need to locate the roots.

It was an unusually hot afternoon and I was feeling very thirsty. My skin was drying up, it was getting flaky and all from too much heat and I wanted to hydrate or freshen up. As I was passing by my neighbor’s house, I stopped to chat and ask for a glass of water. She gave me one and even told me that she noticed a few lines on my face. I was quite worried with the remarks and asked her “can dehydration cause wrinkles?”
The famous myth about drinking water and wrinkles; well, my neighbor was kind enough to explain to me the answer to my question. Although a few articles on the internet discuss that the myth is false, we could not deny the fact that our body is made up of 60% water, therefore making hydration important. As we age, our skin will most likely become incapable of retaining moisture for our skin; therefore making it hard for our system to repair skin damage and generate new cells. All around the world, ladies and women have one problem in common. Wrinkles! When it starts happening, insecurity arises and we all get the feeling of being left out… of young age, that is. Well, personally, I don’t find it a problem, because I have got some ways on reducing wrinkles. It’s not that hard if you really have the heart to follow these tips I’m about to give you. I’ve had my share of lines but they’re eventually finding it hard to make way into my life.
Most of the researches regarding the topic about reducing wrinkles would most probably say “avoid the sun”. Being out in the sun during midday would lead to skin damage. So dermatologists would recommend the use of sunscreen though I would personally recommend not to use it all the time. The skin is capable of producing antigens that fight skin cancer so if we have plans of going out during the day, I would strongly recommend late afternoon or early sun exposure. (The sun is one out of the many sources of Vitamin D). Next, as the cigarette commercials would always say at the end of the ad. “Cigarette smoking is dangerous to your health.” Indeed, it is, not only to the internal organs but to your skin as well.
