The American Academy of Dermatology (2010) states that there are two kinds of aging – intrinsic (internal) aging and extrinsic (external) aging. Intrinsic aging of the skin is an unavoidable process and is common to those who are aged between 30 to 40 years old. As we age, our cells are also getting weaker. They divide more slowly and their capability to repair damaged cells decreases. As a result, our skins become drier, thinner, and later on it will sag and wrinkle. This natural phenomenon of our aging body is the most difficult to control. But we can do something about it by nourishing our skin.
